The Cruel Elephant was a room in the Hotel California, now the Howard Johnson, on Granville & Helmcken. Green Day played there in 1991.

    Green Day played the Cruel Elephant on Water Street in '92. I was there.

    Cruel Elephant was on Water Street? What was the Hotel California then? Was it anything?
